The Healer’s Path

An Energy Medicine & Ancestral Practices Program

For the BIPOC Community

March 13 - May 24, 2025

A transformative 3-month introductory program designed for BIPOC Health and Wellness Practitioners—especially those in maternal health—seeking to integrate ancestral wisdom and energy medicine into their practice.

What you will be learning…

  • As a strong foundation, you will be learning about energy systems from various traditions that have been used for thousands of years in healing as well as maintaining balance in the human body. These systems were not only used for addressing challenges that were manifested physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. These systems were also utilized to maintain peace and harmony in one’s life- which essentially, if an individual is in this practice of addressing health as part of a daily routine, illness has less possibility of occurring.

  • When we are moving through the liminal spaces that allow us to heal in the more subtle levels, it is important that we are also tending and caring for ourselves as well. We do this with cleaning, protecting, and amplifying our energetic fields.

  • We will be diving more deeply into how working with our Ancestors can play such a valuable and necessary role in this work. We’ll be discussing the medicines that we carry, and how it is passed on through our bloodline, healing intergenerational traumas, and the roles that we choose to play in this web of life.

  • The use of sound, music, and the voice has long been a part of healing practices throughout many cultures of the world. We will be exploring the ideas of frequency, vibration, sound, and music as medicine, as well as participating in a sound healing ceremony.

  • The Plant world has always played a tremendous role in healing. We will be exploring different roles of plants, and how to be in right relation with them as spiritual beings.

  • As we walk this path we recognize the sacredness in ourselves, in others, and the work that we do. We will be exploring the use of protocols and personal tools as an essential part of this recognition as we continue on our path of the sacred.

FAQs

  • The most simple response to these questions are yes. We are also sharing some basic shamanic work in these teachings, however, this is an introductory class so we will only be going as far as is appropriate. Yes many would consider us to be shamans, however, it is a not a word that we would use to describe ourselves personally. It is much more complex. First, it is extremely important to note that the term shaman originated specifically from indigenous groups in Siberia and Central Asia. From an anthropological perspective, this is where the word originated from in relation to spiritual practitioners and healers. However, spiritual traditions are practiced across the globe through many cultural traditions.

Over time, the word has become a blanket phrase and used in ways where:

    1. It does not acknowledge the correct phrasing for traditional and spiritual practitioners that may have similar practices but do not use the word shaman.

    2. It has become a word that is trendy and does not honor the path and lineages that have kept this wisdom and medicine sacred.

    3. It does not acknowledge that different cultures carry different medicines in their spiritual traditions.

    4. There is lack of understanding that many practitioners that have carried these traditions have actually given their lives using these practices in defense of their people.

    5. The overuse and misuse of this word dilutes its potency, and does not recognize the responsibility that comes with it.

So while it is a word that has been used to refer to the ritual specialists that walk between worlds it is also vastly important that we do not dilute the magnitude of this work by using the word shaman without clear intention and understanding.

  • This program is specifically for BIPOC individuals who work specifically in health and wellness, or have an interest in it. This can range from being a yoga instructor, to being a nutritionist, to a reiki instructor, to a surgeon, and everything in between.

This program is especially suited for those in the maternal health field as it integrates information in relation to working with ancestors and healing lineages.

Ancestral Wisdom

This workshop and ceremony is a sacred space in which we will explore concepts of spirituality and ancestral veneration, as well as have the opportunity to participate in a traditional ancestral mediumship ceremony.

Participating in an ancestral ceremony of this nature helps us to embody the practices that we will be exploring, through direct and somatic experiences.  It is important to remember that somatic experiences are not only for the intention of healing trauma, somatic experiences in ceremonial spaces also provide access to deeper levels of insight, that can elevate our frequencies, vibrations, and align us with our evolution.  This has been an understanding for thousands of years through cultural and traditional practices, and why it can be so important to experience ceremonies of this nature.

It is in these spaces of reverence where we can deepen into a greater understanding of ourselves as carriers of the medicine that has been gifted to us from our ancestral lineages.  It is in these spaces where we recognize ourselves as a reflection of the divine.

Let's receive the blessings and guidance that we need to support us through these times.

We look forward to being with you.
